This bubbly, Punjab ki Katrina Kaif has been publicly ridiculed for her weight before. She said that she was determined to lose weight as some people made fun of her weight in Bigg Boss 13. She thought that when many people can lose weight, why can’t she? So, she decided to show everyone that she can be slim too.

Shehnaaz has utilised the period of coronavirus-induced lockdown in a very positive manner. Her weight was 67 kg around the time the lockdown began in March, she’s now at 55 kg with a height 5 feet 5 inches. In a recent interview with a news portal, Shehnaaz Gill shared, “Look, lockdown chal raha tha. A large amount of work had come to a standstill all around, so I thought why not just go for weight loss? Kuch logon ne mere weight ka mazak udaya the’ Bigg Boss 13′ mein. If you think she must have undergone intense workout training to lose weight, you are highly mistaken. Shehnaaz Gill didn’t go for any sort of exercise or workout to lose fat. Shocked? Yes, you heard that right! She has lost 12 kgs of weight just by working on her diet only.

Talking about her secret to losing 12 kg weight in just six months, she revealed that it was just how she had the meals that helped her. Shehnaaz said, “Trust me, I went in for a simple reduction in my eating habits. You can say that I cut off on my non-vegetarian food, chocolates and ice cream and nothing else. But besides that, let me explain how I ate because therein lies the catch. Every day, I ate just one or two things. I wouldn’t stuff too much variety in my daily consumption of food. For example, if I ate dal and moong for lunch, I would eat the same for dinner. And I reduced the portions. If I was hungry for two rotis, I ate only one. Mann maarke khati thi. And it started working.”

While she managed to climb up the ladder of success every day in the last couple of years, she hit a personal low after the death of her close friend Sidharth Shukla. “Sidharth never asked me to stop laughing. In fact, he always wanted to see a smile on my face. So, I will always laugh and continue doing my work because I want to go ahead in my life,” concluded the charming actress. For the unversed, Shehnaaz Gill has been embroiled in dating rumours with co-star Raghav Juyal ever since the trailer launch of the film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan.
