GM DIET PLAN: Healthiest And Fastest Way To Lose Weight

WHAT IS GM DIET PLAN?

General Motors Weight Loss Program which is famously known as GM DIET PLAN, is exclusively planned and designed for GM’s Employees to facilitate their wellness and fitness.

Nowadays, everyone is talking about this and the way it is working like magic on our body. This plan is designed by the expert dietician to help people reduce their weight by 4 – 5 kgs in a week without any weakness in the body. This diet not only cleanses and detoxifies your body from inside but also improves the mental and emotional states of a person. GM diet never makes people starve to death and leaves the body cleaner and healthy from inside.

Let’s get started with the ONE WEEK GM DIET PLAN.

DAY 1

The first day of GM diet plan is meant for detoxification. So it is a ‘fruits day’, where you have to eat as many fruits as you want to, except bananas. Consume a variety of fruits like apples, oranges, kiwi, papayas etc. There is no restriction on types and quantity of fruits you have on day 1. It is advised to have more water-based fruits like melons. As far as the beverages are concerned, apart from lots of water, you can have fresh fruit juices, preferably orange juice and coconut water that keeps you full for longer. Make sure not to add salt or any other dressings over your fruit salad.

DAY 2

On the second day, fruits will get replaced by vegetables. You can consume all sorts of vegetables (boiled or raw) and these range from green leafy veggies, cabbage, peppers, onions, etc. All of this will boost the fibre intake of the body. It is advised to start your day with carbohydrate-rich baked potatoes with a dash of butter, olive oil or ghee. It will give you enough energy to kick start your day. But don’t consume potatoes after breakfast as they are high in starch. Continuous water intake should be observed to keep the body hydrated.

DAY 3

You are nearly halfway through the GM diet plan now. Day 3 will be a mix of day 1 and day 2. You are allowed to eat a combination of fruits and vegetables. There is no limit or restriction on the fruits and vegetables to be consumed except bananas and potatoes. Your body will get required carbs from fruits hence potatoes should be prohibited today. Vegetable juice like carrot and tomato juice can be taken in the evening to satiate the appetite for sweet snacks. From today onwards, your body is ready to burn the excess calories.

DAY 4

This day is dedicated to bananas, milk and soup. You may have as many as six bananas and drink 3 glasses of milk. Start your day by consuming a banana paired with a glass of warm milk (almond milk or very lite coconut milk). You can have a banana shake as well. Skim milk is always preferred over full milk if you want to lose weight. Have vegetable soup in the dinner made of capsicum, onions, garlic, tomatoes and celery. It seems difficult but doesn’t give up as you are just 3 days away from losing weight!

DAY 5

This will be beef/chicken and tomatoes day. For pure vegetarians, beef/chicken will get replaced by cheese, brown rice or legumes. On this day the body’s protein requirements are addressed.

You can have a maximum of 6 whole tomatoes. Tomatoes are a rich source of fibre which will help in digesting the food. Make sure to eat all of them. The only beverage allowed on day 5 is water and not juice. It is because the body has already been given doses of juice for the past three days. Increase the water intake by now as water will help in cleaning the uric acid from your body.

DAY 6

Day 6 is almost the same as Day  5.  You can enjoy vegetables, cheese, sprouts and brown rice except for tomatoes. You should have started feeling the noticeable difference in your weight by now. Different glow in the skin can also be seen because of the consumption of fruits and vegetables on initial days of GM diet plan.

DAY 7

This day will be a mix of all last 6 days. You can enjoy a cup of brown rice, chapati, vegetables and fruits today.  This is also considered a feast day or a cheat day for GM diet followers as they can eat almost everything. Don’t forget to consume lots of water. Oh yes, you can have fresh fruit juice too!

By the end of the 7th day of GM diet plan, you must feel much lighter and healthier. The reason for this change in one week is detoxification of your body and having only nutritious food.

GM Diet Day 7

ADVICE

  • Strictly stay away from tea, coffee and alcohol during this course and increase the intake of water.
  • 30 minutes workout on alternative days will ensure to give you the best results.
  • You can have boiled or steamed vegetables. Veggies can also be taken in salad form or eaten as a whole. You can dress it in squeezed lemon, herbs, garlic or even white or wine vinegar. Nothing else should be added to this.
  • It is advised to check your weight before and after GM diet plan.
  • Keep a track or chart of your daily intake to know how much genuinely you have followed this diet and how many times you have enjoyed cheat day or cheat meal.
  • GM  diet should not be done for more than a week in a month.
