Comedian Bharti Singh who previously weighed 91 kgs, has lost 15 kgs. Her amazing physical transformation has left her fans in awe. With everyone talking about her amazing transformation, Bharti opened up about the same and shared how the lockdown helped push her towards a self-love journey. It was during the second lockdown earlier this year, she realised the importance of self-love. She said, “during the Covid second wave I realised that I was not able to do my own work myself as I would run out of breath.” Actually, she had no house help at home and had to do every chore herself. She used to get tired quite easily, so she realised that she wasn’t fit and decided to do something about it.

Bharti Singh Weight Loss DIET
Bharti Singh has been following intermittent fasting that’s helped her shed that extra weight. Speaking about it, she said, “When we were doing Khatra Khatra Khatra, I would often talk to all these actors and they mentioned how they would fast for long hours. I decided to give it a try. While initially, I would crave food late at night, I worked hard on it and now my body has accepted the new change.”
As far as her diet plan is concerned, she revealed, “I don’t follow any diet, I just fast for 15-16 hours and don’t eat anything between 7 pm-12 pm. My body doesn’t accept dinner any later than 7 pm now. But I attack food after 12 pm. Then I have my regular parathas, eggs, dal-sabzi, everything I have always liked.”
She further added, “I am from a Punjabi family and Paranthe hamari shaan hain. I never eat any fancy foods, and never eat post-7pm no matter what. In fact, my body has stopped accepting food at the wrong hours.”

Bharti Singh Prefers Home Cooked Meal
Even actor Jasmin Bhasin has revealed the weight loss diet of comedian Bharti Singh. Taking to Instagram Stories, Jasmin shared video clips of Bharti getting ready to have her dinner and gave a glimpse of her ghee-rich meal.
In the video, Jasmin Bhasin is capturing Bharti Singh pouring ghee on her rice plate. In the clip, Bharti said, “Yeh maine dala ghee (I am adding clarified butter).” As Bharti started putting dal on her rice, Jasmin said, “Ab ghee ke tadke wali daal (Now she is adding pulses tempered with clarified butter).”
The video ended with Jasmin saying, “Yeh hai Bharti ke patle hone ka raaz. Chaar chammach ghee, aloo ki tel se bhari huyi sabji aur tel tehartii huyi dal (This is the secret behind Bharti’s weight loss. Four spoons of clarified butter, an oil-coated potato dish and dal swimming in oil).”

Therefore, by doing all the household chores, practising intermittent fasting and eating home-cooked meals, Bharti Singh lost 15 kgs in a span of 10 months.

How Bharti Singh Feels Now
Bubbly Bharti weighed 91 kilos earlier and now she has reached 76 kilos after the impressive transformation. But losing weight or getting slim was never her objective. She only started this diet to get fit and this has also helped her with her medical conditions.
To your amazement, she is not a gym person, this new routine is working wonders for her. “The last 30-32 years I haven’t taken care of myself and would eat at odd times. That caused a lot of issues and I was even at borderline diabetes,” said Bharti.
She said, “Abhi saans nahi chadhti aur halka halka feel hota hai. Meri diabetes aur asthma bhi control mein aa gaye hain (Now I don’t have trouble breathing and feel lighter. My diabetes and asthma are also under control).” The comedy star says that she wants to maintain her weight now.

Bharti Singh Weight Loss Advice
Bharti said that the pandemic has taught her the importance of being healthy.
“Losing weight or getting slim should never be your objective. Just focus on living a healthy lifestyle and indulge in simple home-cooked foods. I also want people to know the fact that our health is in our hands. Our bodies listen to us if we start a routine. It’s really important to be healthy at the moment. I want to see the world, live my life and have a happy life with Harsh,” added Bharti.
