Because of the emerging COVID-19, our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has requested to stay at home in self-quarantine. We all are practising social-distancing right now but staying at home for prolonged periods of time can pose a serious challenge for our mind and body. Physical inactivity has been shown to be a risk factor for obesity, diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular diseases etc. Not only these, sedentary behaviour and low levels of physical activity may also contribute to anxiety and depression. Keeping these things in mind, I decided to share a self-quarantine home workout with you all.

WHO recommends 150 minutes of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity per week, or a combination of both. Wondering how? Don’t worry, you can still achieve these recommendations at home, with no fancy equipment and with limited space. Establishing a workout routine will not only maintain your fitness levels, but it will also increase your endorphins and help maintain strong mental health throughout this exceptionally difficult period. Even our Bollywood celebrities have made sure that their workout does not take a back seat due to the self-quarantine. Let’s have a look and get some motivation!
