We all know that as we grow older, losing fat through diet and exercise alone gets an extremely challenging task. If you are among the one who is tired of trying weight loss diets and supplements, it is time to rely on some natural fat burning Ayurvedic foods.
Ayurvedic techniques are targeted specifically at removing ama (in Ayurveda, ama means toxins) from your body, which then reduces unwanted fat cells. Here I am going to share some safe and sure ways that will not only help you lose stubborn belly fat but also curb many lifestyle diseases.
Fat Burning Ayurvedic Foods- AMLA (Gooseberry)
Amla has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years to treat a variety of problems. But did you know that this most potent and nourishing fruit can help you to lose weight?
Amla is fully loaded with high fiber content. Fiber takes longer to digest and thus makes you feel full for longer. It’s quite natural that when you are feeling full, you aren’t tempted to overeat which will promote weight loss. Amla also contains a lot of proteins which further helps control cravings.
A healthy gut and digestion system is a basic requirement for an effective weight loss. The alkaline nature of amla helps in flushing out bad toxins from the body and strengthens the digestive system. It is also known to work wonders for your skin, and hair.
You can consume Amla in any form- it can be eaten raw or in the form of juice or powder. As it is bitter in taste, you can better consume it in form of juice. Just make sure to add one part of amla juice to three parts of water and drink it every morning on an empty stomach to lose weight effectively.

METHI DANA (Fenugreek seeds)
Fenugreek which is commonly known as methi in India is an ancient Ayurvedic herb. This is known to boost fat burning and helps in slimming down your waist. It is all because of the presence of galactomannan, a water-soluble heteropolysaccharide in it.
Another major reason why methi dana helps in weight loss is that it is low in calories and has the ability to decrease the feeling of hunger. Apart from being highly fibrous, it is a rich source of calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, and potassium.
As it is hot in nature, so make sure to use it in very small quantities. Its consumption generates heat in the body which further helps in managing and losing weight.
Heat or roast fenugreek seeds in a pan. Crush the warm seeds in a mortar/grinder to make a fine powder. Ingest this powder with warm water on an empty stomach each morning. Or you can simply chew a few soaked fenugreek seeds every morning on an empty stomach.
DALCHINI (Cinnamon)
If you want to lose some weight, especially around your tummy, cinnamon is your answer! This metabolism-boosting spice does not directly work on fat cells, but it can stop unwanted fat cell population from further increasing.
As far as the nutrition is concerned, it doesn’t contain many vitamins and minerals but yes, it is fully loaded with a tremendous amount of antioxidants. Cinnamon aids in digestion and also plays a significant role in balancing the sugar levels.
However, be careful not to go overboard with this spice as it has a strong flavor. It has a tendency to heat the body, so use it in very small amounts.
Boil a cup of water and add ½ teaspoon cinnamon powder to it. Keep boiling till the quantity of water reduces to half. Strain and drink. You may add ½ teaspoon of honey if you want which will further add on the flavor.
